Interestingly, there have been many studies that were conducted on online counselling vs in-person counselling. Most of these studies suggest that both are equally helpful and effective. This, perhaps, is the safest option during the pandemic, anyway. Our society takes one's mental health for granted, which is why we've earned the title of the 2nd most depressed country in the world (according to the World Health Organization). You'll be able to seek free therapy at Government Hospitals and NGOs across India if you wish to do so. Psychological counselling is more affordable than you'd think. Most people spend 10 minutes with a doctor and are charged a 500-1000 consultation fee. A psychologist, on the other hand, spends an hour with you per session. On top of that, you also invest thousands of rupees on medical tests, medication, special medical devices, etc. You might only end up spending 4000 a month on therapy. If you put that into perspective, it's not too expensive.

Hi. We are offering at my clinic free consultation and requested consultation as far possible. In my case I try to consider the issue mentioned and cooperate with patients and families.  It's a protocol for which you may consult me personally.  Psychological counseling is divided into primary therapy based suggestions followed by testing and time to time task submission (therapy tasks , submission through various channels) and follow ups of 45 to 60 days gap. During in clinic consultation my patients spend 2hrs on a single session many times.
Next Steps
both are good depends on preferences for communication type.

Regarding your first question. My answer is that in long run the psychological treatment is not costly at all. Suppose you take 30 sessions. The cost would be Rs 30000 @ Rs 1000 per session. What if undergo many blood test, ecg, holter and short duration of hospitalization. Besides this your personal, social, family and occupational life is affected. And you are unable to perform well in these area. Now you can compare the cost. Regarding your second question, yes physical visit is more effective than online.

Hi. Thank you for your question. It's sad that people give more importance to physical health and neglect mental health. They will spend lakhs and lakhs rupees for physical issues, if advised. In my opinion, almost all physical ailments are the result of not looking into mental aspects in time. Thoughts  manifest into emotions and feelings reflect in ill physical health. Well, I am sure, there are institutions and therapists who do charity work. I too consider clients who are unable to pay. Online counseling is very effective.
Health Tips
It's important that the therapist is well experienced for online sessions.

Hey Dear, I know sometimes it’s sad that people understand the importance of physical health but not the mental health issues. Also helplessness of not being able to help urself bcoz of money is always hurtful whether it’s physical health or mental health. There are few NGOs which cal help uh with free treatment as well like ours. You can search for our NGO on insta for free help.
