Prolonged dysentry with blood in stool
My 5.5 months old baby boy has dysentry for the last 10 days now. Initially he was on probiotic that did not help. Antibiotic zifi 100was started but that did not help either. On the third day of having zifi, visible blood was present in the stool. A stool routine and reducing substance test was done and presence of mucus and positive reducing substance was reported. Antibiotic was changed to o2m. It has been 48hrs since o2m was started and still no improvement.He has been passing watery stool 15times a day. He looks active and is passing urine.

Hi..Presently only watery stool right without blood.. if so it might be now due to antibiotic related diarrhea... so better consult your pediatrician for detailed diet
