Prolactin was high
In Feb I checked the prolactin level and it was 54. After 20 days I checked again and that time it was 63. During that time I was having stress and I gave blood just after waking up in the morning. The doctor advised me that prolactin increases due to stress, breast stimulation etc. I have fibroadenoma bilaterally and it still gives me tension and my stress level is high. The doctor advised me to check the prolactin level after a few months and before that I should stop touching my breast. My husband lives in Canada and I am not sexually active since last November. What needs to be done to lower the prolactin level because I may decrease my interest in sex. Note: The doctor did not prescribe any medicine for prolactin.

Hello, Common cause is use of certain psychiatric and stomach medication......if this is not the case it will need evaluation. Better to visit an endocrinologist for evaluation.
