My prolactin was 52 and tsh was 4.2 four months back , my thyroid was always in the range of 2.5 to 3 and never had milky discharge but after following ayurvedic doctor who gave me satavari and other herbs that has increased my milky discharge and tsh 4.2 , went to gynaecologist , she prescribed me. Cabergolin 20 mg and levothyroxine 20 mg sl Tsh level now 3.49 and prolactin is 21. Trying to get pregnant , is there any other ayurvedic way to reduce my tsh. ,
Followed drinking coriander water and yoga exercise and other oil massage on the throat for one month , am scared to take levothyroxine tablet which everyone says that it's a lifetime isue
Is there any ayurvedic herbal that only reduce tsh and not increasing prolactin

Actually thier are many causes of hyper prolactin level.and your tsh level is absolutely normal dont take treatment for that.to treat hyperprolactemia you have to do some more investigations.
Hi, as per your said data prolactin increase is hormonal imbalance ,also check for one Transveginal scan to rule out pcod
Regarding hypothyroidism,my advice is to continue the same

Namaste. Your concern is valid. In Ayurveda, mild hypothyroidism with borderline elevated TSH (like 4.2) can be managed through thyroid-balancing herbs without aggravating prolactin.
You may benefit from:
Kanchanara Guggulu â balances thyroid function
Varunadi Kashayam or Triphala â supports metabolism and hormone clearance
Avoid excess Shatavari, as it can raise prolactin in some cases
But since youâre trying to conceive, I recommend personalized consultation to balance thyroid and reproductive hormones carefully, ensuring no adverse effects on fertility.

Thanks for sharing your health background â it's clear you're approaching this thoughtfully. Balancing hormone levels like TSH and prolactin while trying to conceive requires care, especially when combining Ayurveda with allopathic treatment. Letâs break this down clearly and then discuss the safest options:
ð¯ Goal
TSH target for conception: Ideally below 2.5 mIU/L, as higher levels may hinder ovulation or implantation.
Prolactin: Already in a normal range now, and cabergoline likely helped.
Ayurvedic Protocol to Lower TSH Naturally (Under MD Ayurvedic Supervision)
Morning Routine:
Empty stomach: Warm water with 1 tsp coriander seeds (soaked overnight) + dash of jeera
Kanchanar Guggulu (250â500 mg twice a day) â classic thyroid support
Ashwagandha churna (1/4 to 1/2 tsp with warm water or milk) â balances stress and thyroid
Diet Tips:
Iodine-rich foods: seaweed, iodized salt, eggs
Avoid: raw goitrogens like raw cabbage, cauliflower, soy
Add: selenium-rich foods (Brazil nuts, sunflower seeds)
Yoga (Daily 20 mins):
Sarvangasana (Shoulder stand) â thyroid stimulating
Matsyasana (Fish pose)
Ujjayi Pranayama â calming thyroid and pituitary axis
ð What to Avoid:
Shatavari, unless prolactin stays low for 3+ months
Proprietary herbal blends without full ingredient list
Self-medicating with Ayurvedic pills without dosage clarity
ð Final Thought
Your prolactin is now normalized. Your TSH is close but ideally needs a little more support before conception. A combined approach is safest right now. Ayurveda works best alongside modern monitoring â not as a solo path for fertility-related thyroid issues
âyog and pranayam is also useful in this condition.
â you need to consult yourself with ayurvedic doctor for your specific issue, we will advice you ayurvedic medicine and diet, panchakarma treatment according to your health issue.
ðProper investigation will be helpful for perfect Ayurvedic diagnosis and treatment.
â with detail history taking we can advice you proper protocol for treatment.
ð Advice- Reduce spicy food, sugar, salt and maida from food.
â Avoid self medication.
â Follow Daily regime and have a healthy lifestyle
