Progesterone in the last trimester
My wife is pregnant with twins (through IVF) and is about enter in the 7th month of the pregnancy. Our IVF doctors suggested to also consult gynaecologist who will be taking care of delivery. When we met her she recommended taking oral progesterone to tablet (Susten sr 300) to avoid preterm delivery. Is it safe? My wife is already taking hydroxy progesterone 500mg injections weekly (the gynaecologist who recommended oral progesterone knows that). Can too much progesterone be an issue?
