Symptoms : Bite marks and bleeding from it. incresed heart rate, blurring of vision local reaction like redness , swelling, bleeding from site. numbness of area, weakness of limbs, breathing difficulties . If the snake was hematotoxic patient will be having , bleeding from bite  site ,gums ,nose, coughing of  blood , vomiting blood , hemorrhage in brain if proper treatment was not taken.. Again the time varies from hours to day depending upon the amount of venom injected , sometimes patient will be getting bite without venom (if the snake has bitten a pray before) Distance of wound ? U can see the fang marks and bleeding from it.

First noticeable symptoms are pain, redness and bite marks.. Slowly you can see increased bleeding from the bite site or weakness in muscles or vision problems or increased heart rate depending on the type of snake. Time taken for symptoms to appear can vary from few min to even a day.. It is recommended to observe the patient in hospital for 24 hrs for any kind of snake bite. There is no defined distance of wound.. But the bite marks can be easily appreciated..
Next Steps
Remember to visit a hospital as quickly as possible even in doubt of snake bite.. The patient needs to be kept in observation for atleast 24 hrs
