Priformis syndrome
I have been diagnosed as priformis syndrome by doctor. I was facing acute pain in left leg from few days and was unable to walk normally. Was literally limping while walking. Had weakness too in left leg. Doctor gave some medicine for pain relief and suggested few exercises too. Even after treatment and doing exercise for quite sometime pain decreased but i am still facing limping while walking. Have back pain too. It's been over two months now but situation is almost the same. Please help what should be done to be back as normal.

Yes I agree with Dr Gupta s advice. I have been involved with hip and knee problems for nearly 3 years and 14 years of UK experience and have seen and treated Piriformis Syndromes. First of all the Piriformis syndrome diagnosis is a diagnosis of exclusion and there are around 30 syndromes around the hip and pelvis .whether this was a MRI diagnosis. If it is definitely Piriformis Syndrome in addition to the above treatment measures you can have An ultrasound guided steroid and local Anaesthetic injection periodically. Rarely you need surgery . If any further doubts don't hesitate to take help
