I have undergone prk surgery 6 months ago.I am using preservative lubricant drop three times a day and gel at bed time.Dr told me to use this drop and gel again for 3 months.How long it can be used without any side effects.

Doctor told u to use the same again because it's not going to harm u... Preservatives are in very less concentration.. Nothing to worry about it.... Follow the same .. As the surgery u have undergone will cause u dry eye and gitteryness.... Gel will protect u in the night time

You can switch over to preservative free lubricant drops and continue with the gel. The lubricating eye drops and gels can be used over a long period of time without side effects. Patients who have undergone refractive surgeries mostly need these as these surgeries lead to dry eye .
