Prescription Advice for Type 2 Diabetic
Due to an insurance related issue I will be without my insulin (Levemir 20 Unit Dose) for the next 6 days. I am also on 500mg Metformin once daily. I am seeking advice to get through the next 6 days to get my insulin prescription filled. Ex: Should I up my daily Metformin dose. And if so, how much.

U can increase dose of metformin to 1000mg twice a day but your liver and kidney should be normal creatinine should be normal . So if it's normal increase your dose to 500mg three times after breakfast lunch and dinner for now.
