Pregnancy with HCG but no sac in USG TVS
Sir/mam My sister in law got positive one week back with beta HCG test with value 616. Her last period was 11th Oct. Yesterday night, she had some spotting and we got USG TVS done , there is no SAC in the report. Can there be any chance of having ectopic pregnancy in this case? Can there be ectopic pregnancy even if there is no sac? Pls advice, i am just concerned that it should not be ectopic. She yesterday night took trapic and susten and since then she is not having any bleeding.

Yes Ultrasound picks up pregnancy only whn bhcg titers are more than 1000 Trapic will not help in a pregnant uterus The ectopic pregnancy wud hv been picked up by the transvaginal scan Repeat bhcg titers Declining trend wud be suggestive of abortion
