Pregnancy related RH ANTI BODY TITER.
My wife is 28 week pregnant and blood group is B negative and my blood group is O positive, my doctor recommend for Rh anti body titer test and injection Rh anti D 300. But I m confused about the sequence whether I go for test first and wait for report then injection OR parellarly go both if this injection is mandatory irrespective of reports. And what is the exact duration of week to have this injection... Thanks in advance

You should do the antibody titers first as that will decide if she has to take the injection or not It needs to be taken at about 28weeks and then after the delivery within 72hrs if the baby is also of positive blood group
Next Steps

You first hv to go for test ..Rh antibody titres and then for injection anti D after the reports.. Antenatal anti D should be given at 28 to 30 weeks of gestation..

Need to know your obstetric history.. However, titre is required only if pregnancy is isoimmunised otherwise titre is not required.. What you actually require is indirect Coomb test ( ICT ) .. If ICT is negative than , just take the ANTI D immunoglobulin at 28 weeks of pregnancy & again after birth., ACOG recommends antiD immunoglobulin at 28 weeks after ICT test & again after birth , dose being 300 micrograms..
