If the ovulation kit shows a dark line, does it mean I'm about to ovulate, or does it mean ovulation has already happened and the egg has been released?

Positive test ( line as dark as or darker than the control line) indicates that the LH surge has happened. It takes about 12-36 hours for ovulation. It doesn’t guarantee that the ovulation has happened. It only indicates that the LH Hormone has surged.
