Hello,
Quadrapole test is a simple basic test to rule out Down's syndrome, neural tube defects etc. in your baby. So you can go ahead with it. Wish you safe and healthy pregnancy.

Hello there.
I can understand your concern.
Quadruple test is done to find out certain birth defects like Down's syndrome, neural tube defects etc. In this 4 things are measured- 1. Inhibin A 2. Human chorionic gonadotrophin 3. Unconjugated estriol and 4. Alfa feto protein.
In your case its suggested because of your age. Since you are 33 yrs old.
Diabetes is not the only factor for prescribing this test.
Ideally it should be done.
But if you do not want to get it done, its your choice. Its been prescribed for your good itself.
Best regards.
