Hello Mam,
I had pregnancy loss due to incompetent cervix in 18th week of my pregnancy.
Now I am pregnant after 2 years I have done with my NT scan my cervix length is 3.4cm.
My doctor prescribed duphaston tablet day and night and she does not prescribe cervix stitches.
Is cervix cerclage mandatory or only duphaston is enough.

Progesterone has no role after 12 weeks
Because placental function starts after 12 weeks which secretes progesterone
At this length stitch is not required
Repeat ultrasound at 16 weeks
To look for cervical length and diameter of internal os
Stitch shall be required only if the length of cervix is less than 2.5 cm and diameter of internal os is more than 8 millimetres
