Prevention is before the act not after Emergency pills are not contraceptives they are  interceptives They have a high failure rate you can be pregnant despite one also they have many side effects

It's better to use protection before intercourse. The pill available has many side effects and high failure rate. It's to be used within 72 hrs of unprotected intercourse.
