Prebiotic for Antibiotic
I have been advised to take Augmentin Duos 625 - three times a day for 5 days, for tooth infection. Alongside that I am asked to take Pan D in the morning to avoid indigestion. However previously I have got extreme constipation once any antibiotics course gets over. Although my dentist didn't suggest any prebiotic, I have bought a strip of Vizylac. Will it help and can I consume both Pan D as well as the prebiotic? And what dosage should I follow. Your advice will greatly help. Thanks.

Take the prebiotic 2 to 3 hours before or after the antibiotic consumption . Pan D can be taken 30 minutes prior to your meal . You can reduce the frequency of antibiotic to 2 times a day instead of 3 times a day for 5 days , if the indigestion and constipation issues still prevail.

Hi prebiotic should be taken 2 to 3 hours before or after taking the antibiotic for its efficacy to prevail.Vizylac once daily . You can take Pan D also half an hour before meals twice daily. If you still have constipation and digestion issues you can limit the dosage of the antibiotic to twice daily for a course of five days.

Hi. If taking antibiotics causes constipation for you take Pan D twice daily before breakfast and dinner and Vizylac once daily before breakfast till your antibiotic course gets over.
