We are planning for a baby , I am 30 and my husband is 35. What all  medical checkups/tests do we need to do ?

Don't go for any pre pregnancy tests unless you have some person suffering from Genetic disorders in the family. As the pregnancy advances you will be getting many tests. Some are routine tests (done for all patients). Some are done if indicated.

Fr wife Tsh ... thyroid levels .. should get less than 2.5 Rubella igg should be positive If negative u need a rubella vaccine before u plan pregnancy Vit d levels should be adequate as low vit d levels are associated with poor obstetric outcome Fr the male partner no tests initially
