Pounding headache
I'm 16 years old and I suffer from a pounding headache every now and then. every month there comes 3-4 days where I can't feel my head and I get cranky at the smallest of things. I didn't consult a doctor in the past for this suffering. the headache lasts for 6-8 hours.

You need to first visit your family doctor . Mostly stress and lifestyle could be the reason , but need to eliminate other factors . An MRI will be a good option to rule out any other possibility.
Next Steps
You can meet a psychologist and speak meanwhile in order to understand your thinking patterns and if any changes are required in the same.
