Hello, You can take your bp in lying down position and 3 minutes after standing still. If the pulse raises by more than 30 or BP falls by more than 20 mmHg after 3 min of standing, its called postural tachycardia and hypotension. Common cause is dehydration. Have plenty of oral liquids and salt. Take care. Stay safe.

POTS is an unlikely diagnosis in men. But it can be easily tested and confirmed with the monitoring of heart rate and BP. The monitoring of the heart rate is by Holter and that of the BP is by ABPM. Further tests include investigations for the autonomic response and is done by electrophysiologists, a group of cardiologists specialising in heart rhythm. Basic investigations also include CBP, ECHO, serum or urine metanephrines.
Next Steps
If the diagnosis is confirmed, exercise is the first step in the treatment. Supine exercises are to be preferred. These include rowing, swimming, and recumbent cycling. Increased fluid and salt intake is advised.
Health Tips
This diagnosis requires a specialist. Please meet him if you have significant symptoms.
