Post menopausal bleeding after 2 years
My mother got post menopausal bleeding about 3 months ago.Bleeding stopped after 5 days and it did not appear again till now.We went to gynaecologist and doctor took ultrasound, pap smear and cervical biopsy.Ultrasound reports showed bulky uterus with multiple fibroids. No INTRAEPITHELIAL lesion / malignancy in papsmear.Endometrial tissue is atrophic and tissue could not be obtained for endometrial biopsy. Cervical biopsy showed LSIL.Reports are attached. Can you please look at reports and suggest if hysterectomy is necessary and urgent?if necessary can we schedule after six months? Please explain any other options if we have. Many Thanks

You didn't specify her age, nor did you mention how many years ago she had her last period (before this bleeding episode). She has fibroids and Uterus is about 4 times the normal size.  Cervical biopsy is plus minus report. You didn't share pap smear report. Hysterectomy is the best alternative because otherwise she will have to undergo so many tests every 6 months. Over all, conservative treatment will be more cumbersome and expensive. It will also involve lot of tension for the patient, their family and for the doctor.
Next Steps
So you should get ROMA done and if favourable report, go ahead for hysterectomy.
