Post and core if for support of crown as it acts as a pillar whereas crown lengthening gives height to the natural tooth so that crown doesn’t keep coming out all the time and has good support

Well post n core is done only after rct to increase strength of tooth n crown lengthning for gums to increase space for crown area but indications depends on ur particular tooth condition .so i need to know exactly kindly consult me
If crown length is small to place a cap need to go for crown lengthning
Post and core is basically a procedure done after rct in which post is a screw act like a pillar and core is a build up of tooth....it is done when very less healthy tooth structure is left because of caries
In crown lengthening, gums r cut to expose d root part . It's a surgical procedure.
Post n core is done after RCT, kind of a screw is placed in d root... like a pillar over which tooth crown can b seated.
Each treatment has it's own indication n contraindication. It depends on individual needs.
