Possible bipolar
I am pretty sure I have bipolar. Doctors have diagnosed me with depression but I do not feel depressed. I have times where I get into a depressive mood but that comes alongside periods of elation, unreasonable optimism, energy ect.

Hello dear, Thanks for your query. See, having 2 poles of mood (sadness and elation) are absolutely normal. But, it becomes a disorder and needs diagnosis ans treatment when either of the pole dominates so much that it affects your social and occupational life. Also, a lot of personality types can resemble bipolar disorder.
Next Steps
Believe in the diagnosis by your psychiatrist. However, if you still believe that you need further assessment, you may meet a clinical psychologist for assessment of your personality, to understand the actual problem that you are facing.
Health Tips
Do not start or leave medicines on your own. Always consult your psychiatrist before making any such changes.
