Hello,
I had been diagnosed with Planter Fascitis and had been given steroids to treat it. Its been 7 months and have been given steroids for 3 times and still I am facing pain in my right heel. I followed all the precautions and exercises suggested by the orthopaedic. He said there is no other alternative to surgery and he does not recommend a surgery at this age as it has more complications than the result. Can anyone suggest an alternative treatment other than surgery or injecting steroids?

Fascitis is a tough one. It takes time and a lot of care. A few techniques could work for you together. Having said that nothing works better than stretching your calf and ankle before you get out of bed. Do try and evaluate if the pain gets better as the day progresses. Please visit your physio for further evaluation.
It's also been known that a walk on the beach may help ;)

Hi ur problem is common now days it's due to ur weight, or ur medial arch of ur foot may be less or due to work like standing for long time and the plantar fascitis is fibrous tissue it's not a muscle so it have only poor blood circulation so recovery is very slow. And to improve ur speedy recovery keep cold laser therapy(LLT) with contrast bath and have medial arch foot wear with mcr slipper. Take care

Hello...... Usually, the pain will ease in time. Fascia tissue, like ligament tissue, heals quite slowly,A combination of different treatments may help,In extracorporeal shock-wave therapy, a machine is used to deliver high-energy sound waves through your skin to the painful area on your foot....you can try this, talk to your orthopedic doctor.
