Plantar Fasciitis
My father has been diagnosed with Plantar Fasciitis and had been using medicines for it for the last week. But the pain hasn't reduced still. What should be done next? He had used tablets Hifenac-p and Neugaba-m.

Medicines help plantar fasciitis to an extent Medical silicone sole will help Ask him to follow a home remedy i.e. keep his affected foot in warm water with salt for 10 minutes twice daily. You could try sole muscles stretching exercise plus roll his foot over bottle. Physiotherapy has good role in plantar fasciitis treatment - ultrasonics first and shockwave therapy later Local injection of corticosteroids is tried if physiotherapy doesn't help

Medicine alone will not help him. He should take shoes with a Doctor Sole. These should be worn whenever he wants to walk. Not a permanent cure but it alleviates pain

Exercise of foot like Rolling foot over a tennis ball etc. Can watch a few YouTube videos for help. Exercise for plantar fasciitis. Inspite of that if pain pain persisting, consult doctor to  get X ray ankle done to look for calcaneal spur.  If spur is significant may require surgical removal for relief.
