My heart rate goes very high when I go to a doctor, and i cannot travel in train, not in lift and i have also fear of my high heart rate during intercourse with my wife, I cannot sure is it phobia Or anxity, I want to know to where I have to go psychiatry or psychologist, plz guide me so that i can get the best treatment

You need to consult a psychiatrist for your anxiety which happens due to altered serotonergic system in mind pathways. A course of SSRIs and CBT would help in recovery. Good luck.

Hi, I can understand your dilemma. I would like to suggest that the best treatment would include both psychiatrist and psychologist. Psychiatrist will help you control your immediate symptoms and the psychologist will help you and equip you with techniques to deal with these kind of anxiety and these kind of negative thoughts. So that whenever in future you get these kind of thoughts you are able to act on your own act and know how to react on these thoughts and what to do. Hi there, A detailed medical and psychiatric history is always needed for every patient to make a diagnosis and the management of the case accordingly. You have not mentioned about the duration of your symptoms.Were there any stressful event before the onset of the symptoms? Are you on drugs or Alcohol? Did you have the anxiety symptoms when you were in school? You have mentioned your symptoms when you travel in the closed areas and other wise also.
Next Steps
It will be better for you to see a mental health professional to make a diagnosis of your symptoms. There is also a need to rule out some of the medical illnesses presently with similar symptoms. Treatment should be directed towards the diagnosis.
