You seem to be suffering from chronic tonsillitis which usually presents with recurrent attacks of throat pain, painful swallowing sometimes associated with cold and cough. You need to take antibiotics and painkillers during attacks. If the symptoms are persistent and recurrent then tonsillectomy may be required
