Permanent tooth eruption query
My sons lower jaw central baby tooth had fallen off.
Now the permanent tooth is erupting behind it's place rather than the same place..
What to do? He is 5y 8m old.

Hello ma'm,
Don't worry about it. Although the permanent central incisor tooth is erupting behind the primary or milk tooth I. e central incisor, then it might be having 2 possibilities as.....
1.There might be root piece or remnant of milk tooth & it requires in office consultation & small tooth xray called iopa for exact diagnosis.
2.There might have lack of space for the same preventing the eruption of permanent tooth at the desired position& can be confirmed by check up & small tooth xray called iopa for the same.

Need not worry. You can visit an orthodontist who will examine your child and guide you better. There are certain interceptive measures also that need to be taken in children so that their dentition remain in proper alignment.

Hello,
There could be a couple of possibilities example there is crowding in the lower jaw already hence, no space for permanent central incisor to erupt in it's actual position or if there is no crowding then also, the normal path of eruption of permanent lower incisor is slightly lingual to the milk teeth and then eventually straightens in its original position.
But for better diagnosis, need to see the kid clinically.
