Periods once in 20 days
Hello doctor, I delivered 2nd baby on 4th feb 2022 via c sec . I had post partum bleeding for almost 60 days. Scans were normal. Now I am having regular periods once in 20 days. I had a period on 9th May, then 30th May and now Again I am having brown discharge which will be followed by bleeding in couple of days. Minimal bleeding lasts for 5 to 8 days. I am exclusively breastfeeding the baby now. For the first 2 months it was mixed feeds. After my first baby, I had not got periods for 1 year but this time m getting periods regularly I do have PCOD, my hb, thyroid levels are normal.. What could be the reason?

Irregularities in menses are common during lactation due to the hormonal changes. If this bothers you, take progesterone only pills like Cerazette. They will give you contraception benefit also.

Irregular periods are quite common while you're breastfeeding. If you're having very heavy bleeding then you might need an iron supplement. Keep a check on your menstrual pattern for 2 to 3 months. If the problem still persists then connect for an online consultation

If you are sexually active during this period without protection then there are chances of pregnancy as you are mixed feeding and u hving ur periods.. kindly rule out pregnancy first. Then visit a doctor

U need to connect with the ultrasound report Bleeding more than 7 days n bleeding before 21 days is not normal needs to be investigated n treated
