Period delayed
I have regular period I usually have regular periods. My last period started on 18 - 25 August, while my September period started on 11 - 16 September. My next period was expected around 7 October, but it is now seven days late. My husband and I use contraceptives whenever we are sexually active. I took a home pregnancy test two days ago, and it was negative, not planning even! Recently, I started taking vit D, omega-3, vit B12, and Lipocut 60 mg for weight management. Could these medicines or supplements be causing my delayed period? Should I wait for my period to arrive naturally or take norethisterone tablets to induce my period? I am not planning a pregnancy and would appreciate advice on the possible causes and safest next steps.

Do BetaHCG test to confirm. If negative you can either wait for period or take medicine to get your period.

A single period running seven days late with a negative home test is common and usually not worrying, especially with no cramping or other red flags. Vitamin D, omega-3 and B12 don't typically delay periods. Starting a weight-management medicine like Lipocut can shift your cycle indirectly if it has changed your diet or caused rapid weight change.
Next Steps
Repeat the pregnancy test with first-morning urine, or get a blood beta-hCG for certainty. Whether to use norethisterone to bring on your period should be your gynaecologist's call after confirming you are not pregnant and ruling out other causes.
Health Tips
Please see a gynaecologist if your period does not arrive within another week, or if you develop pain or heavy bleeding.
