Peri orbital swelling not going down
My mother had FESS surgery for mucormycosis on april 22nd. after 3weeks of surgery there is a noticeable swelling above and below the left eye. we went to several check-ups and crusting is being removed every time. doctor saying everything is good but he isn't saying to stop posaconazole. we are still on posaconazole . its been 4months , we are still in posaconazole treatment and swelling around eye not at all going down. is the swelling because of crusting? do we need to concern about the swelling. no other symptoms other than peri orbital swelling. no discharge, vision is good ,movement are good , no pain inside. sometimes when she sleeps in AC , her eye swelling will increase upto 2days with redness. if she sleeps without AC , swelling will not increase but it is persistent. im not getting what is happening? PLEASE HELPP.

Just to be sure if there is no recurrence of the fungus ... U can ask the doctor if a repeat mri with gadolinium enhancement is required ... Just for a survey ! Sometimes the disease may be hiding from an endoscopic view
