After SMR & FESS Surgery for Nose
I have had a SMR and FESS surgery over a couple years ago, to have my deviated septum corrected and also reduced some swelling I had in my nose due to dust allergy. After 2 years, I'm starting to feel somewhat similar nasal blockages like before the surgery, although it is not as bad. When I wake up in the morning, my nose is swollen from inside, and it takes a while to go back to normal. I noticed mouth dryness after waking up which made me realise I unknowingly am breathing with mouth when I'm sleeping. Is it common for my symptoms to reappear after surgery? When I look with a flashlight inside my nose, the concha bullosa in right nostril is swollen and blocks the airway.

Yes , if the symptoms of nasal blockage are due to allergy not due to DNS , you wil still feel nasal block after surgery .. It's your body's immune response towards allergens .. you should get tested for allegry . it can controlled but not cured.
