I have diagnosed with PCOS in my right ovary. Doctor didn't tell me to have hormone tests and only suggest to loose weight and said eventually hormones will become regulate as well as cysts will be reduced. No external hormones treatment suggested. I am confused about treatment. Is there other things to do besides of weight reduction. Please suggest.
Is it necessary to have hormonal treatments or only weight reduction can help?
Thank you

Weight reduction is the best treatment for PCOS. Before opting for hormonal pills you should try for weight reduction. If no benefit than go for hormonal pills
Your doctor has absolutely correctly advised you
The diagnosis of pcos is by an ultrasound
If the ultrasound shows ovarian volume more than 10 CC you are a patient of pcos
no point getting the blood work up done because in pcos the hormones will be deranged only
No hormonal treatment is required if you attain a healthy BMI
