I have been diagnosed very mild Pcod. Have been prescribed glycomet-sr 500 mg (6 months) 1. Will it help me loose weight 2. Can I stop taking it after 6months or is it a life long medication

Metformin may cause a weight loss of 1-2 kgs. You should try to lose weight by dietary changes and exercise. If you lose weight you may not need Metformin
