PCOD, hormonal imbalance
I have PCOD since last 8 years the only issue with PCOD earlier was weight gain but now since last the menses have become irregular and in spite of the regular exercise I am not able to loose weight the other problem with these are hirstiusm , Acne , darkening of Skin , I my self is doctor so assuming that i have developed insulin resistance with lot of hormonal imbalance as well , need to start with Metformin ,but need endocrinologist advice about dose and if it is really required for me

Studies have shown that metformin is useful mainly to prevent ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome if induction is done in pcos patients. However if in case you have prediabetes, metformin can help in prevention of progression to diabetes. All said and done there is no substitute to weight loss via diet and exercise. Also remember that the contribution of a proper diet to weight loss is immense and is more important that exercise.
