I got palpitations and doctors detected svt on ecg and get palpitations suddenly when I stand up doc suggest to do ablation is it necessary I also get palpitations when doing exertion like climbing stairs

SVT is usually not life threatening. But if it is really SVT and you are very symptomatic then better to ablate. I would like to see your ecg, thyroid profile and need information about the medicines you are receiving.
