I want to give first painless vaccine to my newborn 1 and half months baby. Does it shows same effect as painful vaccine? Is it worth to give painless?

Whole cell pertussis containing DPT vaccine causes pain and fever after injection but Acellular DPT is painless but may cause fever as it contains few pertussis components. Whole cell DPT vaccine is more effective for pertussis than painless vaccine.

hi DPT VACCINE BECAUSE OF WHOLE CELL PERTUSIS COMPONENT, INDUCE FEVER AND PAIN SOME CHILDREN MAY DEVELOP SEIZURES SECONDARY TO FEVER BUT IS AFFECTIVE AND LOW PRICE. WHERE AS PAINLESS(DaPT) Actually not painless, any injection (intramuscular) will be painful but there will be no swelling and fever after injection. it is costly but more affective than DPT(Whole cell vaccine)
