Painful bump post finger cut (diabetic)
My mother had a deep cut on her finger a few weeks ago while cutting a plant. We consulted a doctor and used ointments as advised. The wound healed, but now there is a hard bump at the site which causes pain when she uses her hand. She has been diabetic since 2012 and is on daily medication, with her sugar levels under control. We are concerned about this bump whether it's an infection, scar tissue, or something else. I’m uploading pictures of the affected area. Kindly have a look and let us know what it could be and how to treat it.

Is the bump soft and painful ro touch, what treatment she has taken so far and her sugar levels ? Give her tab cefi'xime 200mg one morning and one evening for 7 days. Tab combiflam one every 8hours for 4 days. Do some hot and cold compression. Apply sumeg ointment 3 times daily for 5 days. If it resolves within 4 to 6 days, fine, otherwise go for physical check up and incision of the abscess. Meanwhile share details of her diabetic status , so that I can help in better management.
