Painful Armpit lump
From 4 days i have got a lump in my left armpit .its painful. So i have applied "T bact oinment" It has reduced after applying the above cream but its still paining Also from today its growing in right armpit Wat it could be? Is it due to increase in body heat? Wat can be the cause & its treatment?

It's folliculitis... Inflammation of the hair follicles in your armpit or axillary. It's due to bacterial infection and can be completely resolved with medicines

Armpit swelling can be enlarged lympnode, Cyst, furuncle or boil . As it is painful it must be infected and inflamed. From your symptoms it's seeming mostly furuncle or boil that is caused by poor hygiene or friction with clothed , blockage of hair follicles with infection mostly with staphylococcus. You should have proper cleaning of arm pits and application of T bact or Neosporin ointment and also can take tab Linezolid 600 mg BD x 1 wk to treat MRSA infection as it is more common now a days. You should visit an experienced clinician for accurate diagnosis after proper examination of the lesion.

Take a course of antibiotics.. If no relief..then may require surgical intervention
