Pain killer
Hi, I am a 49 year old male, 168cms height and weighing 84kgs. 5 months back I had Arthroscopy surgery of left knee to treat torn meniscus. During surgery it was found that I also have arthritis. My doctor suggested PRP to treat this condition and I have had 2 injections. Since then condition has improved and I have started 30 minutes brisk walk every day because now I want to reduce weight. But somedays there is pain in knee which radiates in whole leg leading to limping. My doctor had advised Nucoxia 90 or Voveran SR 75, OD x 3-4 days, to subside inflammation. My question, how many of these pain killers is safe in a month which will not affect my kidney. I drink 3 litres water every day and I just had my complete health check and everything is in normal range. I am also following diet plan to reduce weight. Please advise.

Pain killers won't treat your problem. They can reduce pain  for 3-4hrs only.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Tab Voveran is Diclofenac, this should not be taken for too long (10-15 days at the most at a stretch) to avoid systemic side effects. Tab Nucoxia is relatively safe. However, if you need to take pain killers even after 3 weeks, it is best to have yourself re examined by the doctor. Best wishes for your recovery

Hello , pain killers should be taken need basis . We can’t give you a number that this many are safe and beyond this number it is going to affect your organs . Having said that there are certain things we should know I.e., in case of Nucoxia you should take only once daily and in case of Aceclofenac you can take twice daily you should not take more than that and you should not combine two different pain killers as it may increase side effects . It should be taken only for the prescribed duration . And your doctor will monitor for side effects . You should not take with out doctor suggestion .
