I am having pain in my left thumb finger under the nail whenever I pressed the nail for over 1 year, haven't tried anything as it doesn't affect my day to working.

There are few things which can happen under the nail bed bony outgrowth which can be painless. Glomus tumor is very painful and throbbing. Get an x-ray first and if needed MRI scan
