This may be due to nerve sensitivity, it must have developed over a period of time. Such type of pain can come from the neck as well. Detailed assessment of neck and arm is required to come to a diagnosis and treatment planning. A sustained tailor made exercise program is required to address this issue.
Next Steps
See a Physiotherapist for detailed examination. Get Vit D3 and B12 checked.
Health Tips
Avoid Sleeping on the affected arm and Lifting heavy objects till the issue is addressed.

Hello. There can be 3 main possibilities for your symptoms: either this is due to a hormonal or vitamin deficiency, or peripheral nerve compression like carpal tunnel syndrome, or a problem in the neck casing higher nerve root compression. You need to have assessment by a hand surgeon/orthopaedic surgeon. And then you may require some tests-bloods and/or nerve studies. Dr M Vashishtha FRCS, dr-MV.com
