Your pain could be due to muscle spasm.
You should give hot water fomentation for 15-20 minutes twice a day.
You can use Volini gel or spray provided you are not allergic.
You should do neck and upper back stretching and strengthening exercises with proper guidance.
Next Steps
If the pain persists or aggrevates you need to consult a Physiotherapist or Orthopaedist in person or through video call for further evaluation and treatment.
This pain is in trapezius muscle which can be due to knots in muscle either primarily or secondary due to weal lower trapezius, weak rhomboids (muscle in between shoulder blades) or even weak hip muscles as this follows the superficial back line muscles.
Next Steps
Visit a skilled therapist who can provide myofasical release and activation of weak muscles
Health Tips
Good Sleep, Loads of water, correct posture , appropriate pillow height are must.
If you feel pain while you move or turn your neck, it must be due to muscle stiffness. Particular muscle stretches helps. Also warm water fomentation.
Contact for video consultation
