A mild pain in the penis that occurs mainly during erections or penile movement and persists for a few days after ejaculation can be caused by several factors. Common possibilities include minor strain of the penile tissues, irritation from frequent or vigorous masturbation, prolonged sexual activity, temporary inflammation of the surrounding structures, or increased pelvic floor muscle tension. Despite the common term "penis muscle," it is important to know that the penis itself does not contain muscles responsible for erections; the discomfort is usually related to the tissues, ligaments, blood vessels, or surrounding pelvic structures. Since your symptoms have been present for about a month and seem to worsen after ejaculation, it would be reasonable to consider whether there has been any recent increase in masturbation frequency, intensity, or duration. The absence of severe pain, swelling, penile curvature, discoloration, urinary symptoms, or visible injury is somewhat reassuring, but persistent symptoms should not be ignored.
Next Steps
It may be beneficial to temporarily reduce or avoid masturbation and sexual activity for a short period and observe whether the discomfort improves. Avoid forceful or prolonged stimulation and allow the tissues adequate time to recover. Pay attention to any additional symptoms such as swelling, redness, a palpable lump, penile bending during erection, pain while urinating, or worsening pain, as these details can help determine the underlying cause. If the discomfort continues despite giving the area sufficient rest, or if the pain becomes more pronounced during erections, a detailed clinical evaluation would be advisable to identify the exact cause and ensure appropriate management. Health Tips
Ensure adequate hydration, proper sleep, and regular physical activity. Avoid excessive masturbation, especially if it is vigorous or frequent. Wear comfortable, non-restrictive undergarments and avoid unnecessary manipulation of the penis while monitoring symptoms. Most minor strain-related discomfort improves with rest and healthy habits, but persistent pain lasting several weeks deserves proper evaluation to rule out underlying conditions and provide peace of mind. Thank you
