Pain in lower abdomen and in anus

Asked for Female, 80 Years

Hello,Few months back I experienced unbearable pain in my lower abdomen and anus.It was excruciating pain and came in spasms.It lasted for half and hour and stopped after taking a painkiller.I have been to a gyane who after sonography did not find any problem asked said it might be some spasms due to gas. Lately since a month or two I experience discomfort in my lower abdomen and some pain (sometimes)in my anal area.I feel I have more gas also than earlier.Kindlt suggest what to do and what could the problem be?
