Pain in left side of abdomen

Asked for Male, 3 Years

My toddler complains of pain in left side of abdomen for a short period of time (5 to 7 min)like 2 or three times in a week .She is constipated most of the time .. she some times says the same complain while pooping. What is the reason ?

hi..is the pain severe ?mild pain in left side of abdomen subsiding on its own is not to worry.. with constipation history it can also cause crampy feeling in abdomen because of hard stool..is your kid straining while passing poop?is the poop very hard.. what is the frequency of stool passage depending on it plan of management will differ

use symptomatic pain relief medication for pain abdomen if severe pain abdomen or prolonged pain abdomen...use stool softeners if constipation is really worrying...
