Pain in knee joint
My mother(56 years) has been experiencing pain in knee joints from past 2 years and there is also pain in the ankles after consulting with few doctors they suggested that due the bones is friction between the bones which is causing pain and abrasion of bones. Please suggest suitable course of action and suitable doctors.

It may be due to age related osteoarthritis. However other reasons like rheumatoid must be ruled out. The treatment depends on condition of joint, extent of wear out seen on x ray and the factors like whether her bones are deformed or osteoporotic and also get weight. You must consult the orthopedic surgeon who specialises in joint disorders.
