Pain at the back of the thigh/leg can be acute or sudden onset, or they may be chronic and develop gradually over time. It may also develop following an acute injury which fails to heal properly. The most common is a hamstring strain or it might be some tightness in the gluteal muscles or radiating pain from your lower spine.
Next Steps
It's better to consult a good Physiotherapist near you , so that assessment could be done properly .
