Pain in the PIP joints of the fingers during winters is commonly related to cold-induced joint stiffness or early inflammatory/overuse changes. An uric acid level of 7.01 mg/dl is mildly elevated, but gout is uncommon in finger PIP joints, especially in young females, and your X-ray does not show typical gouty changes. At this stage, starting long-term uric acid–lowering medication is not recommended based on this value alone. Conservative measures like keeping hands warm, avoiding repetitive strain, and short-term pain relief during flare-ups are usually sufficient. If pain becomes persistent, associated with swelling, morning stiffness, or spreads to other joints, further rheumatologic evaluation may be needed.
