Pain in elbow and lower leg

Asked for Male, 58 Years

My father is getting pain at right leg joint and lower leg, and falling to walk, a spine doctor suggested to go with sciatica operation, what is the success rate of that operation, and in how many days my dad can walk normally once operation is done.
