My mother has recurring nerve-type
pain in both legs and both hands. Sometimes the pain becomes very severe. When the pain occurs in a particular leg or hand, that area becomes very tight or stiff, and she has difficulty moving it normally. She also has difficulty walking, and her movement becomes difficult during these episodes. The symptoms occur regularly, but the severity varies from time to time. Sometimes she also experiences headaches. We are concerned about a possible nerve or neurological problem. Please advise the possible cause and whether she needs to consult a neurologist or undergo any tests.
